Cassandra, You Got Old! is a participatory site-responsive work performed at the Seoul International Dance Festival in Tank (SIDFIT), September 2026, following an initial stage of development November 2025–March 2026 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The work reimagines the Greek classical tragic heroine Cassandra, princess of Troy, cursed by Apollo to speak true prophecies that no one would believe. What if, instead of dying, she had aged, carrying decades of unheeded warning in her body, and still kept dancing? It is a work about the passage of time in a woman's life, a celebration of older dancers, their lived experience and their continued vitality. Each audience member listens to the score privately, on their phone and headphones. Audience and dancer share the same space and sound, each with their own listening and their own path. The work unfolds over thirteen minutes as a binaural audio walk.
